Acceptable Use Policy — Hushsong (DRAFT)
DRAFT — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. Starting point for review by a qualified Ontario lawyer.
Effective date: [DATE] · Part of the Hushsong Terms of Service.
Hushsong exists to help people respectfully remember loved ones. To keep it safe and lawful, the following rules are strict and enforced.
You MAY use Hushsong to
- Create a keepsake of your own family member or someone you are legally authorized to represent (e.g., as next-of-kin or estate representative), and
- For whom you hold the rights to use their photos and voice.
You MUST NOT upload or create content involving
- Public figures, celebrities, politicians, or any person whose likeness you do not have the right to use.
- Any living person without that person's explicit consent.
- Minors, except where you are the parent/guardian and use is lawful.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — strictly prohibited; detected material is removed and reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII) or sexual content.
- Hateful, harassing, threatening, or extremist content, or content that demeans a protected group.
- Deception or fraud — impersonation, scams, or making anyone appear to say something to deceive others about its AI origin.
- Anything unlawful in the jurisdictions involved.
Honesty
Every keepsake is labeled as AI-generated. You must not remove that labeling or present the output as a genuine recording of the person.
Enforcement
We may refuse, remove, or take down content; suspend or ban users; retain records; and report content where the law requires (e.g., CSAM). We use automated and manual review and act on reports promptly.
Reporting & takedown
Report abuse or request takedown at [abuse@hushsong.app]. We aim to act within
[24–48 hours] (faster for non-consensual intimate imagery). [Designate a DMCA/notice agent if serving the U.S.]
